I was born in South Shields and moved to the house I am living in now when I was five years old. I attended the Girls Grammar School, and left to join the Civil Service. Like many other women of my age I stayed at home to look after my children, and became involved in working in the Community. I helped run a play group, and ran a Cub Scout troop for a number of years. I am also a Governor of Bamburgh School and Harton Infants School. I am passionate about our work in the community, and help all I can with The Horsley Hill Residents Group in their efforts to raise the quality of life on the estate. Being a Member for Horsley Hill is an honour, and it is my full time job.
Due to the schools summer break commencing 19th July, there will be no ward surgeries for Labour Cllrs in Harton Ward and Horsley Hill Ward from Saturday 20th July resuming on Saturday 7th September at Marsden Road Community Centre , 10.00am-11.00am.
